First and last time we will go there! 3 of us dining, new waiter, very unsure of himself but tried hard. Starter seafood platter very nice. Mains Steak perfect, Salmon very average, Pork chop very over cooked served with under cooked potato, sent back, 2nd chop cooked well but served with the same potato cut smaller and microwaved, still under cooked in places. Dessert of waffles was nice but had to request extra maple syrup, hardly anything on the plate originally. Also took nearly 3 hours for the whole meal, despite not being very busy. Then when I got home I was violently sick!! ? coincidence?   (Ebigum - April, 2012)

I went there the last 2 days, and had the special on both.

The special yesterday was 500g rump and chips. The steak was nothing special. Even though it was medium, it wasn't tender nor flavoursome. Very lackluster. The chips were equally disappointing if not so. However, for $15, it was great value for money and filling.

The special today was 500g pork ribs. This was pretty bad, and the main reason that value for money didn't hit a 10. For $12.50, the price was great. However, the bones were huge... much larger than those of baby back ribs I'm used to (in regards to western sweet ribs that is under discussion). The meat was also stuck to the bones, and very hard to get off. Overall, I guess I left 1/2 of the meat because it was too difficult to get off the bone. If I were the proprietor, I would up the price to $15.00 ($30 on non special days), and give larger portions (to 700g). To solve the 1/2 meat on bones issue, I'd slow cook the ribs (in the oven basted with oil, salt and pepper) for 3 hours at 85degrees and then freeze them (at -2 to -5 degrees), to be kept only for the rest of the week (i.e. order them in on thursday and start the slow cook, and then offer the special on wednesday to firesale the remaining stock). When serving, because they'd been lightly frozen they'd thaw quickly, and 15 minutes on the bbq/grill while basting with sauce should do the trick to get them ready to eat.

Service was very good. Although a bit slow, the girl who served me was very nice to everyone... to the point that I was paying attention to her serving other tables. Slow service is understandable if that's the kind of attention given to each and every customer when they are serviced... much different to what i'm used to (in Melbourne Australia)   (John - June, 2010)

Fantastic food - we've been at least 7 times and will go back again -- we have not had a bad meal yet! The servers tend to act very harried and busy, even when there aren't a lot of people in the restaurant. But they're friendly, when you can grab their attention.   (Bluetama - May, 2008)

great food & ambience, friendly staff BUT kept forgetting to come back to our table - very slow...... had to chase up a couple of times for drinks....... but we would go again :)   (March, 2008)

Generally ok. Service a little slow for how many people in the restaurant, but otherwise a pleasureable experience   (January, 2008)
