"JDV Is one of four eateries bunched at the corner of Aikmans and Papanui Rds – a fortuitious site as the area incorporates high-density suburbs St Albans and Merivale. Even on a sad-sack Tuesday the generous bar space is almost crowded and the dining area filling fast. So much for the myth southern folk go out only Thursday to Saturday."
