  Lovely food, best butter chicken. I think the Banquet for Two is good value for money. Would be nice to be able to change the naan bread flavour though, even if there is a surcharge. Free delivery is great.   (Vanessa - May, 2013)

  Ordered online for the first time, order arrived faster than expected. We ordered the banquet which was superb, an unexpected friend popped in and there was more than enough for a further person. Food was fresh, delicious, cooked to perfection, loved the additional chutneys, raita etc. Better than the opposition in the Village! The meat was a bit lacking in the butter chicken dish, more sauce than substance but on the whole the banquet for 2 was brilliant. Will definitely be ordering on a regular basis again   (Ann - May, 2013)

  Have had problems with orders twice. Appears that onion baji and pakora are exactly the same item... but I know they are not! Trying to explain problem on phone is a nightmare, kept hanging on till someone who could speak decent English was available. Won't use this restaurant again in a hurry.   The Beef Madras was amazingly done! the beef itself was delicious and the madras sauce was amazing. The salted lassi on the other hand had too much cumin in it and I wasn't actually expecting to have cumin in it as it didn't mention it on the menu.   (Malak - May, 2013)

  I really believe in buying local and the food from this play is yum. When you have had a few quiet ones on a Friday night that is when you are most likely to feel like a curry but can't drive , so I was most dissppointed that they don't deliver and i had to give my business to a business in Takapuna.   (Bridget - May, 2013)

  Last time I went here to eat I was sorely disappointed. The chicken was overcooked and dry and they were not even using the company provided machine to cook their chicken! This is a franchise after all that markets their chicken as cooked in a special cooker that's healthier than deep fried; yet the three times I ordered from them I saw workers blatantly grab chicken from the freezer and dunking them in the deep fryer while the correct cooker was gathering dust in the corner. Now unless they've improved their work recently I strongly discourage you from patronizing this establishment.   (Travis - See my reviews (2) - May, 2013)

  Good food however delivery was disappointing. Firstly, one of the curries had leaked into the bag. There was a whole curry sitting at the bottom of the plastic bag which the delivery man seemed to think was acceptable. I felt uncomfortable having to say sorry but we can't really out of the plastic bag so what does he propose. He left me with what he turned up with even after I asked if he wanted to take it all back, so I was left with half the main meal and a bag of curry to clean up. He also forgot to deliver the Mango Lassi we ordered which he must've left in the car as turned up with it 3 minutes after he left. We started eating what we had and sadly it was cold and required heating up in the microwave. It took another 50 minutes before they came back with the replacement curry. Completely ruined what we were hoping was going to be a nice dinner in but the food was good once heated up. Thought they may come back with the curry and something complimentary but no.   (Rebecca - April, 2013)

  Terrible customer service! We ordered butter chicken, chips and a vegie burger for delivery. It was supposed to come at 6:20pm. At 6:40pm we got a call from the delivery guy saying he couldn't find our place so he had gone back to the restaurant and if we wanted our food we'd have to go pick it up. He said he couldn't redeliver it so picking it up was our only option. Why any delivery driver would go out without a mobile phone on them is beyond me! It turned out he wrote the address down wrong so it was their error (I checked the order email and the address we gave them was correct).

  We drove out there to pick it up. By the time we got home it was 7:20pm so the food was at least an hour old. The chips were obviously inedible. I'm giving them two points for food because the veggie burger, despite being an hour old, was actually tasty.

  We didn't get offered any kind of refund, not even for the delivery fee. We were given a couple of lamb samosas for "free". If you check the menu you can see that comes to $5 so they didn't even cover the delivery fee, let alone make up for cold food and the inconvenience and petrol cost of having to go pick it up ourselves. Charging us for a delivery fee and inedible food when it was their mistake and lack of foresight in having a delivery driver go out without a mobile phone is actually stealing in my mind and if we weren't just fed up and hungry at that point I would have pushed for my money back.   Excellent service from the Adjadz tea and Menulog. The Adjadz prices have gone up heaps though since my lst order in Feb 2013. The same order cost me $50 more than in Feb last year. Thats about a 33% increase. Adjadz you should charge less for takeaways than dine in after all you don't need to pay waiting staff and people to clean up and do dishes with takeaways.   (sandy - April, 2013)

  Ordered at 6:30pm, and received txt confirmation to say meal was being delivered at 7:07pm but called at 7:40pm and was informed they weren't able to do deliveries tonight. Meal had already been paid for using Visa. Only bad experience We've had with menulog, the other restaurants have been great, but will not order from this Papakura Curry House again.   (Jamie - April, 2013)
