My wife, her sister and I were visiting NZ for the first time and had flown into and out from Christchurch. We visited almost the entire South Island and only "discovered" Pedro's on our last night there. If we'd known about it before, we would have spent more time in Christchurch. This was the best meal we can remember ever having. From all the entrees we ordered (bread, olives, mushrooms, and chorizo) to the mains (chuleton, solomillo, and lamb) to the dessert (coconut ice cream) not to mention the sangria, everything was absolutely magnificent. I had the lamb but tasted the other mains as well and almost teared up at tasting the best lamb I've ever had. The service was exemplerary. I have been dreaming of returning to Pedro's for two years now: The lamb shoulder is amazing, and I wanted to try it again. I was able to sneak in at 7 pm, and had a delightful experience. I started with the spiced meats entree (yum!) then shifted directly into the lamb. As last time, it was spectacular, and worthy of all the praise. Highly recommend this fine establishment!
