Overall, the food is great, a little expensive for what you get, but this is reflective of the area and location being it a tourist area. Great setting, very authentic. We would go back again some day. Worth a try.   (JasonT - December, 2007)

GREAT! My mother and I went to this restaurant to celebrate something I won, It was sooo nice! The food was really filling, and ours wasn't served western style at all. The waitresses had brilliant english, and although I can speak japanese I didn't feel as though I had to :D The shabu shabu was particularly delicious :D   (Steph Mercer - October, 2007)

My bf and i went to this restaurant to celebrate his birthday. The arrived there at 7pm and the restaurant was not busy at all. There was a couple sitting at a corner table and us for the whole night. The staff were really very welcoming and polite. We ordered the sushi and sashimi platter for starter and it is really delicious and very well-presented in Japanese style. A bit expensive tho, $39 for 2 people, but worth it.My bf ordered Teriyaki Salmon while i have the Teriyaki Chicken for our main course.The japanese waitress had mistaken our order. When the main course came, there were 2 teriyaki chicken but no teriyaki salmon. When we told her that we asked for 1 teriyaki salmon and 1 teriyaki chicken, she apologised very pleasantly and immediately offer the change 1 chicken to salmon. I was a bit dissapointed that the main course are served and presented extremely western style. Both main course are served with brocolli, potatoes, parnsip and kumara using the western dinner plate. It would be better if they could serve the main course in Japanese style with Japanese side dishes as well, since it is a Japanese restaurant. When we are done with our main course, none of the staff there asked if we want dessert. Total dinner bill: NZ$102 for 2 people.   (Yau Seng KHO - July, 2007)
