We drove out one Sunday from Auckland 40 mins. Venue & ambience was OK, but I've seen better. I didn't feel the food selection was that good (not extensive), but the meal was excellent. Food waitress was good and wine waiters knowledge and very informative. The wine list was excellent however, wine prices were "expensive" like most other NZ restaurants. Pleasant afternoon, but would only go there now and then. The chef thinks he's "something else"... but I've had better for the price, here and overseas a few times.   (Zavala - November, 2007)

Not overly inpressed the last couple of times there. Last time, wife sent her steak back (asked for m/rare.. it was over cooked; 2nd one was just OK and mine was nothing to talk about). Service wasn't the best; "I think they forgot about us" and it wasn't busy on the night. Twice... I had to get up and ask them for service i.e. 1st time, wine & the 2nd time we wanted some drinking water.   (Zavala - November, 2007)
